Can FUBU Make A Comeback?

After a brief hiatus from the U.S. market to focus on global expansion, FUBU the Collection is officially back—and DrJays.com will be the exclusive online retailer of the brand.

The New York–based sportswear brand has returned to solidify its place in streetwear fashion with the new FB Legacy collection and the “Mr. FB vs. Mr. Trendy” digital campaign.

FB Legacy, inspired by turn-of-the-century industrial workman wear, is providing complimentary wardrobe staples and representing the modern man with core sportswear apparel. Rooted in the history of its predecessor, FUBU, FB Legacy is the modern-day response to ever-changing fads.

FB Legacy, taking note of FUBU’s marketing success, will launch the new collection to the masses with a series of digital commercials inspired by the popular Apple “Mac vs. PC” commercials. the video clips present “Mr. FB vs. Mr. Trendy” vignettes which compare the advantages and attributes of Mr. FB and Mr. Trendy, similar to the comparisons of Mac and PC. The Mr. FB character represents a classic, every day, casual sense of style while Mr. Trendy is the fad-laden fashionisto. Mr. FB is the present and future of timeless sportswear.

The “Mr. FB vs. Mr. Trendy” commercials will also feature a slate of actors, athletes and artists such as Clifton Powell, Slim Thug, Antwaun Smith (Mr. Universe 2009), Pinky and many more, who represent different versions of Mr. FB.

Check out the first one, featuring Slim Thug:

Soundwave makes a comeback, as a theatre on wheels

If you can’t go and listen to a high fidelity sound system, why don’t you have it come to you? The Harmon Mobile Showcase is designed to do just that, bringing two professionally calibrated listening rooms to an expo near you.

The trailer contains a 2-channel “audiophile” room, and a multi-channel home theater environment. The equipment used inside is exclusively from Mark Levinson, JBL, Lexicon, and Revel, so this isn’t by any means the only super cool sound system you’ll run across. But it’s definitely way outside my price range.

The truck just left the Architectural Digest Home Design Show here in New York, and will next be spotted at the Hi Fi Buys Event in Nashville. So if you’re in the neighborhood, go check it out.
