LG LU2300: LG’s Android Based Smartphone is Announced with Details of Specs

It is official! LG have announced that their latest smartphone, the LG LU2300 will run on Google Android OS. The new Android enabled LG smartphone will include Android 2.1 and 1GHZ Snapdragon processor.

With all LG phones we know that style plays an important role in the phone’s fixtures and fitting, so with a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display you will definitely get an eyeful of what is going on onscreen. However, judging by the photos below I think they could have done a better job on the QWERTY keyboard, which doesn’t offer the same slick appeal.

That aside the phone will come packed with A-GPS and a five megapixel camera, similar to some of the other Android based smartphones on the market.

However, one of the interesting features which LG have talked about for this phone is the possibility of augmented reality application so we’ll keep you posted on details regarding this.

The LG LU2300 is expected to go on sale hopefully at the end of this month in Korea but there are no details as of yet on when it will hit the US and European waters.

What do you think of the LG LU2300? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think….

HTC Evo 4G Screenshot Images Leaked with Details of Accessories

The HTC Evo 4G smartphone has been seen on the Sprint’s inventory months before the Evo 4G’s release date which is expected for this summer.

The listing came after tech blog, Engadget revealed that someone had anonymously leaked the information of the device code named HTC A9292 model number with a $5,555 in the pricing column.

As well as this a separate screen shot image showed details of the Evo’s ‘overview deck’, which interestingly included a HDMI dock and extended battery.

Now this isn’t confirmation of a release date, which some expect to be June 13th, however it does suggest that the race for the 4G smarthphone is heating us especially with the expected release of the iPhone 4G also set for the summer.

What do you think of the HTC Evo 4G and its specs? Will you be interested in buying one when the phone is expected to launch this summer? Leave us a comment and let us know what you think…

HTC EVO 4G Release Date on Sprint: Sunday 13th June with Details on 4G Hotspot Add-on Costing $10-20?

Since the announcement of the HTC EVO 4G we have heard very little regarding the phone’s release date and details of Sprint’s product offering.

Well, it would appear that insider information has revealed that a lot of upper management inside Sprint have been suggesting that Sunday June 13th could be the official launch date of the EVO 4G.

Now, it hasn’t been set in stone about the date but a summer release is definitely expected on the cards for the HTC EVO 4G. However, with the rumoured release of the iPhone 4G also expected for the summer, will this mean that both phones will be going head to head to fight for attention of all mobile lovers out there?

As well as launch date news, details have also been leaked regarding the $10-20 plan add-on for the 4G hotspot service, which is something which is no surprise to us all. However, as we know anything that comes with a cost will need to be justified by Sprint especially as Verizon announced that they will be offering free hotspot access on its Palms.

More details about the ExoPC slate surface

The ExoPC is shaping up to be a major contender in the tablet PC space with the iPad’s good looks and an affair of ExoPC UI-Layer on top of Windows 7. And if these leaked capabilities are in fact coming, the HP Slate better look out. This guy will steal some of its thunder.

Up front the 11.6-inch capacitive outputs at 1366 x 768 and is powered by a GPU that has enough juice to pump video in full screen mode. An Atom CPU reportable handles multitasking just fine and that’s perfect seeing how there will be an app store at launch. We hear the SDK even supports everything from JavaScript to HTML to Flash programing.

Of course none of this is official, but tablets that that don’t rhyme with iSad will hopefully offer a similiar feature set. Well, they better if they’re to have any chance of breaking into the market. [via Blogue de Geek]

Nintendo 3DS: New details leak in Japan

Nintendo’s announcement of its new portable 3D gamimg device 3DS was very brief, prompting us to speculate about possible features and implications for the way people will play games in the future. But today the Nikkei, Japan’s Wall Street Journal, is offering a bit more insight (and the Nikkei is usually a very reliable source).

As a reminder, what we know so far is that the new hardware won’t require any glasses for users to see the 3D images, will be backwards compatible to DS and DSi games, make its debut between April 2010 and March 2011, and make its debut at the E3 gaming conference in Los Angeles in June.

Here are all new details the Nikkei was able to dig up:

- Nintendo says the 3DS will be the first device of its kind.

- It will be sold, probably in Japan first, in the latter half of this year.

- Nintendo considers giving the 3DS a 3D joystick, force feedback and an accelerometer.

- The company already secured patents for several 3DS-related technologies last year.

- Compared to its 2D-based predecessors, the new device will feature improved wireless communications speed and battery life.

- The screen will be not be larger than four inches (the DSi XL’s screen is 4.2 inches).

Another interesting thing to note is that Nintendo shares traded above 30,000 yen ($330) for the first time in over 11 months Wednesday (30,850 yen, which is 2,880 yen above Tuesday’s close). Investors have big expectations for 3D, it seems.
