iPhone 4G Release Date for July After Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference Announced?

After leaked pictures of the iPhone 4G were plastered across the tech world recently and Apple demanding the missing prototype to sent back to them, it is hard not to agree that we are going to be seeing the iPhone 4G hit the scenes in the not so distant future. But when you might ask will be a likely release date for the phone?

Some people have suggested June, and some suggesting as early as May but recent news about Apple holding a Worldwide Developers Conference on June 7th could mean that we could be seeing the iPhone 4G hit the market during June or shortly after.

Now this wouldn’t be the first time Apple would be announcing the release of their phone especially as in previous years, Apple have used the same location to announce their past iPhones. However, the only discrepancy is the date as in previous years Apple have announced their iPhones on June 22nd so could we be mixing up the dates? Or is it just that Apple have decided to bring the conference a lot sooner after the revelation of the leaked iPhone 4G prototype?

Twitter App Announced for Android Devices

It was announced at Twitter’s Chirp conference by Twitter CEO Ev William that for those of you that own a Android device, you should be getting an official Twitter app shortly.

“We found we were under-serving users. We realized we had to have a core experience on these major platforms just like we do on the Web, otherwise we are failing users. It’s (Android client) going to be awesome.”

Although we’re not surprised to hear the news, as it was only a matter of time before Twitter introduced this app into a growing Android marketplace, however I am more interested in the comment from Mr William which suggested that the app was going to be ‘awesome’. So, will it be similar to the recently acquired Tweetie app. or are Twitter developing something slightly different? These details remain to be seen.

Also with no real confirmation regarding when Twitter will release the app and when Google will integrate it into their Android operating system, we will just have to wait and see as and when when Twitter and Google reveal more information about the Android Twitter app.

iPad UK Launch Date Now Announced for Saturday 29th May 2010?

After the release of the iPad in the US early this month, the tech world have been hot on their trails for find out when we could expect the iPad to released in the UK and the rest of Europe.

Previous rumours and speculations suggested that the Apple iPad could be released on April 24th, however it would appear that news from the official UK Apple website suggests that you will have to wait a lot longer before you can spend you hard earned pennies on an Apple iPad lovely.

If you visit the UK Apple website, you will find that Apple have stated ‘Coming Late May. Pre-Order on May 10th’ compared to what we had predicted as the end of March.

Now on one hand we can sit and groan about the fact that we will have to wait yet another month before we can get our hands on the iPad, however on the other hand let’s salute Apple for putting us out of our misery and announcing some sort of date that we can add to our diaries.

So with Apple announcing that pre-orders are set for May 10th, when can we expect an official release date? Well if we follow the same pattern as the iPad release date in the US with the official day falling on Saturday, I predict that we could see the official release date of the Apple iPad being Saturday May 29th 2010. Of course at the moment this is just my prediction, however it be interesting to also see if any Apple employees in the UK have been told if there is a specific blackout period for holidays in May and whether they can back up my prediction.

LG LU2300: LG’s Android Based Smartphone is Announced with Details of Specs

It is official! LG have announced that their latest smartphone, the LG LU2300 will run on Google Android OS. The new Android enabled LG smartphone will include Android 2.1 and 1GHZ Snapdragon processor.

With all LG phones we know that style plays an important role in the phone’s fixtures and fitting, so with a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display you will definitely get an eyeful of what is going on onscreen. However, judging by the photos below I think they could have done a better job on the QWERTY keyboard, which doesn’t offer the same slick appeal.

That aside the phone will come packed with A-GPS and a five megapixel camera, similar to some of the other Android based smartphones on the market.

However, one of the interesting features which LG have talked about for this phone is the possibility of augmented reality application so we’ll keep you posted on details regarding this.

The LG LU2300 is expected to go on sale hopefully at the end of this month in Korea but there are no details as of yet on when it will hit the US and European waters.

iPhone 4.0 Announced on April 8th: Will More Details Regarding the iPhone 4G Release Date and Specifications Surface?

With the release of the iPad on Saturday, it would appear that we just can’t get enough of the Apple news at the moment.

Apple have just announced a very special event which will take place in two days time (8th April 2010), which will showcase their latest update of their iPhone OS, version 4.0.

There has been a lot of talk surrounding the features that this new update could bring to their popular Apple products, namely the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, with talks of a third party app for multitasking, however the news is still sketchy regarding the other features.

Another thing which has been of much interest to the tech world is the release date and details regarding the iPhone 4G. Could we be getting a whiff or more details regarding the next generation iPhone on April 8th? With Apple known for their spontaneity I wouldn’t put anything past them.

Hercules Mk4 DJ controller announced at Musikmesse

After a sneak peak at this years NAMM show, Hercules officially announced the release date and price of their new Mk4 controller at the Musikmesse fair in Germany. This slim sized controller is designed to interface with whatever input you can dream up.

There certainly is something to be said for portability. I’m just not sure this is where it belongs. The design seems to focus on being able to mix multiple audio sources with this single platform, iPod, turntables, laptops, etc. But if the controller is the only thing that’s super-portable, it kinda defeats the purpose. Not to mention having decent speakers you have to haul around.

List of features:

• 2-deck mixer: mix digital audio files on PC and Mac®.


• Includes a built-in, high-performance audio interface


• 2 stereo outputs to play the mix on active speakers, a PA system, a hi-fi system or a mixer.


• 2 stereo inputs (with 4 levels: Phono / standard line level / professional line level / boosted line level) to connect any external audio sources: MP3 players, CD mixing decks, vinyl turntables and more.

HTC EVO 4G Phone, Formally Known as HTC Supersonic is Announced: Is this Sprint’s Answer to the First Ever 4G Phone?

The tech world world waited in anticipation as the much talked about HTC Supersonic was announced yesterday as the HTC EVO 4G.

The new HTC EVO 4G will launched on Sprint’s WiMAX network and will come jam packed with a whole host of fantastic spec.

Similar to the rumours, the EVO 4G will tout a 4.3 inch TFT screen running at a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.  Inside, the operating system will be the Android 2.1 and will include a Snapdragon processor running at 1GHz.

HTC Supersonic Release Dates and Specs will be Announced on March 24th

It would seem we just can get enough of the HTC news at the moment. With news of the HTC Incredible set to launch in the US as early as two weeks time, it would appear that the HTC Supersonic is also making the launch date news too.

WSJ are reporting that the HTC Supersonic might be officially announced new week on March 24th at the keynote speech by Dan Hesse.

Just like the Incredible, the Supersonic has had its fair share of leaked information, especially the sketchy video from a mysterious person showing off the Supersonic. The phone is expected to be an Android 2.1 based device and tout a 4.3 inch display.

However, more interestingly it is set to run on Sprint’s 4G dual-mode WiMAX/EVDO connectivity options, so that users can seamlessly switch between Sprint’s 3G network and the 4G airwaves.

These are all rumours and speculations at the moment, however we expect things to be officially confirmed next week and if the rumours are true then this is going to be super phone indeed.
