Like a candle in the wind, iPod Touch with camera appears and disappears on eBay

And you thought Giz was the only game in town when it came to Apple dev units. Some folks on eBay posted two development iPod Touches with cameras placed at the center of the rear panel and running some odd variant of OS X. It’s not huge news – we knew the Touch was getting a camera eventually – but if you had designs on these things, think again. eBay just pulled them.

9to5mac grabbed all of the images and slapped them up before the auction ended prematurely.

Incidentally, one of the signs of the End Times was the release of development Apple hardware, so look for the Pale Horse coming across the dead plains.

Sony Cyber-Shot W350D Adds A Touch of Rhinestone

Cameras may keep on getting better on the inside, but their exteriors remain something on the staid side. Before this came along.

Hailed as a “model for women” the Sony DSC-W350D is an ultra-compact camera comes in either white with stars, or a blush shade of pink with a floral pattern.

If this isn’t feminine enough, each camera further has a splattering of rhinestones on the front.

The camera also shines on the inside, with a 14 megapixel imager and a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x optical zoom lens, making for some crystal clear shots from a crystal crusted camera.

You can keep tabs on your handiwork on a decently sized 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen.

The W350D also records in 720p high-definition, saving in MPEG-4, and will easily connect to your PC via USB 2.0 connectivity.

There is also a few handy shooting options including self portrait, smile shutter, face detection and sweep panorama settings.

If you end up having to attend back-to-back weddings, you can expand the camera’s memory through a SD/SDHC slot.

You can even get a matching “elegant pattern” embossed case to match, which beats black neoprene.

So far, both cameras are only available in Japan, priced around the £190 mark.

HTC Touch Diamond Hacked to Include Windows Phone 7 Series

Yesterday we showed you a video of the popular HTC HD2 hacked to include the Window Phone 2 Series update.  Well it would seem that another video has been uploaded on YouTube, however this time it is the HTC Diamond being hacked.

The hack is known as a RDP hack, in which the person is running a Windows Phone 7 emulator on a PC and using a remote client (RDP) to access the PC.

Although, we know that HTC are going to give the Diamond a Window Phone 7 Series update, it certainly shows that people are becoming increasingly interested in the platform and would like a lot of the popular smartphones to be ported over to the Windows platform.

'The Big Band Theory' - Tough Touch Productions (review)

Making the best use of the most cheerful and lively samples from the Big Band Jazz and Swing genre Tough Touch Productions present a tight and focussed (and best of all, short) set of tracks.

The nature of the beats means that MCs Social Conscience, Reggie Million$ and Kali Mist get live and basically have a load of fun over the 8 tunes on offer. That’s not to say that they get ignorant – in an amusing way issues are addressed. Production comes from Kali Mist, Nicky Beats, Matchstick and Fresh

Tough Touch are an example of how underground artists can come out with something fresh and appealing without sounding like the rest of the UK Hip Hop scene or resorting to the kind of thing that litters the radio waves nowadays.

‘The Big Band Theory’ is available at the Tough Touch blog right now: http://toughtouchproductions.blogspot.com/
