Gucci Mane Sued For Missed Concerts

Incarcerated rapper Gucci Mane has been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly failing to perform at a pair of in Pennsylvania last year.

Bosses at Marshall Productions and Rockstar Entertainment have filed papers against the hip-hop star and two of his business partners, claiming the trio booked two shows in Pittsburgh – and took cash deposits for both – even though they knew that legal restrictions on Mane’s travel would prevent the gigs from taking place. See parole restrictions stemming from a 2005 felony assault prevented the rap star from leaving his home in Georgia at the time. In the legal papers, filed in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania this week, Marshall Productions’ William Marshall and and Derrick Brown of Rockstar Entertainment claim Gucci — whose real name is Radric Davis — engaged in “a widespread scheme scheduling concerts they knew would not take place.”

The concert promoters claim the rapper’s reps took two deposits totaling more than $20,000 for a pair of performances that were to have taken place in August.

Gucci has been in police custody in Georgia since being tossed in jail on a parole violation in November.
