Proud Canadian native son Drake has swept the Billboard charts with a bevy of hits over the past years — but the actor-turned-hip-hop sensation hasn’t forgotten where he comes.
We hear Drizzy has recruited a group of his childhood friends — who grew up with the star in Toronto in the days before his success as “Wheelchair Jimmy” on the small screen hit Degrassi: The Next Generation — to head up his support staff.
ZackTaylor.ca writes: “Drake recently asked a bunch of his childhood friends (who supported him from the start) to help him in different areas of his career – Our sources tell us he is paying his friends some BIG bucks for their hard work….”
Guess it pays to have friends in high places!
