Just when we thought Naomi Campbell was starting to ease off on the temper tantrums, she’s unleashed the beast again: Naomi stormed out of an interview with ABC News after being quizzed about whether she accepted a blood diamond from an African warlord more than a decade ago.
The supermodel — as known for her short fuse as her work on the catwalk — refused to answer questions about the alleged gift from former Liberian leader Charles Taylor.
“I didn’t receive a diamond and I’m not going to speak about that,” she fumed curtly. “I didn’t receive a diamond and I’m not going to speak about that thank you very much. And I’m not here for that.”
She ended the ABC News interview in sarcastic mood by saying: “Thank you so much, goodbye.” She then stood up and punched the camera before leaving the studio.
The allegations first came to light when actress and humanitarian Mia Farrow told prosecutors about the supposed gift, which dates to 1997, when the women joined Taylor as guests of then-South African president Nelson Mandela.
